    A sad ending for a place with a colourful history. The architects’ description sounds absolutely dire, but maybe I’m being pessimistic.

Can’t imagine it ever being built though – no one will lend money for a luxury apartment development in Silvertown. The pub will carry on doing what it’s being doing for the last fifty years, slowly sinking into decay.

    Wouldn’t have believed any pub could have this much "character’ – but from your description it appears in harmony with it surrounds. It’s the architects vision that presents greater concern than venturing inside I would think … Your composition, with both the photo and historical essay, are excellent.
